German Fall Break

We had a wonderful first vacation in Germany. We first went to visit our friends stationed in Stuttgart and had a great American Halloween on base with lots of “trick or treating”. Our friends went through 28 extra large bags of candy. For those of you in Nashville, it felt just like Nichol Lane trick or treating.  Of course Owen dressed up as a Knight. That has been his obsession since we moved here and started visiting castles. Also, on the trip we went to Neuschwanstein Castle. It is a 19th-century palace that was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria (Kind of Germany). The palace has appeared prominently in several movies and was the inspiration for Disneyland Sleeping Beauty. Next it was off to Legoland. Owen has a great time. He rode his first roller coaster and loved it. In fact he rode all three of the roller coasters.
